“There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.” This George Carlin quote quickly came to mind while laying outside, close to four in the morning, in the cold night, as the red moon took my focus a few months ago. It was the first time I had been up myself to see the moon turn into a small sliver, then grow, bleeding, throughout the night. The night was certainly silent, only the rustling of my winter jacket overtook the quiet movement of the leaves around me, and although the silence was beautifully bearable, it was the redness of the moon that took me away from where I was. When you see something every night of your life, you stop thinking it is capable of change, you stop believing it can take a different form. It is when you witness the change in front of your eyes, even just one time out of ten thousand, that that something turns your world upside down.
Keep looking, embrace the change.
